About This Novel
"The Long Goodbye" is a detective mystery novel written by American writer Chandler. Private detective Marlowe accidentally encounters a strange drunk who was dumped in the parking lot and takes him home. The drunkard is not old, but he has white hair, a scar on half of his face, and has undergone plastic surgery. Although he is in extreme poverty, he still behaves well-educated. The drunkard's frustrated look moved Marlowe. From then on, Marlowe and he became friends with whom he occasionally drank quietly. Early one morning, this gentleman drunkard came to Marlowe and said that he had killed his wife, the slut daughter of a millionaire. Although there are three publishers of the same book on the shelf, this one is the cheapest, but in comparison, it doesn't feel like the best translation. The one that costs more than 20 yuan is more comfortable to read.
