About This Novel
Nanako Doba, who was born and raised in Kinozaki Town and married a high school classmate, was thinking about escaping from her hometown while running a business at a Buddhist altar fittings shop in the local Utopia Shopping Street. Five years ago, due to her husband's job transfer at Hakkai Fisheries, the family came to Nosaki Town to live in a mediocre environment. She always believed that her husband would be transferred soon. Invited by Kengo Miyahara, her boyfriend from art college, ceramic artist Seirei Hoshikawa moved to Kashizaki Town two years ago and lived in "Misaki Castle" where many artists gathered. Three women with completely different life trajectories jointly organized the "Clara's Wings" charity event in the name of love in order to help people in wheelchairs like Jiumei Xiang who have limited mobility. However, when they discovered that these "wings" could bring them tangible benefits and even lead them to fly to the utopia in their hearts, everything became unspeakable. The malice in human nature was like the day of utopia, tempting them to sink into the abyss from which they could not escape...
