Sonny is on the run. In his early thirties, he was a model prisoner and had been in Oslo Prison for more than ten years. He is the "salvation" in the prison, and his room is a prayer room for other criminals. Sonny's calm smile seemed to have a magical healing power that made other prisoners willing to confess to him, believing that this would cleanse them of their sins. He was going to spend almost half his life in prison, but a prisoner's confession changed everything - the prisoner's prayer mentioned Sonny's father, the "corrupt" policeman who had committed suicide to apologize. All this seems to have a hidden meaning. When Sonny learned that his life was made up of lies, he was determined to pursue his own freedom, because only freedom can bring revenge.
