About This Novel
"Hai Fei's Self-Selected Works" is a self-selected collection of pure literary works by Hai Fei, the famous screenwriter and winner of the People's Literature Award, over the years. There are four books according to the theme. The first book, "The Past", tells a story set in the Republic of China; the second book, "Laozi's Land", is mainly about realistic themes. It is the life of ordinary people today; the third book "Zhao Bang and Horse Together" is a series of short stories with Zhao Bang as the protagonist, and the content is more exaggerated and humorous; the fourth book "Marriage Everywhere" tells various stories that happened in a fictional Jiangnan town called "Danguifang". Most of the chapters selected in the self-selected collection have been published in newspapers and periodicals, from which we can see Hai Fei's creative experience and rich creative themes over the years.
