Qilin (two Volumes)
About This Novel
The story takes place during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. At this time, the Qing Dynasty was in its heyday, and it was also the last prosperous age of the ancient Chinese dynasty. It was already showing signs of decline. A unicorn suddenly appeared on the streets of Suzhou, a famous city in the south of the Yangtze River. This kind of "auspicious beast" that exists in myths and legends has actually appeared in the world, and it brings not auspiciousness but destruction. Suzhou, a place that Qianlong must visit during his southern tour, includes traditional Confucian scholars who changed their names and took refuge, storytellers with eloquent tongues, missionaries from the French Christian Church, mixed-race children, rebellious youths, conservative women, righteous heroines, officials with secret knots, and leaders of civil anti-Qing forces... The prosperity of the era is reflected in everyone's life, and what is revealed is scenes of absurd tragedies. Qilin, this auspicious incarnation, finally appeared in people's sight again with everyone's paranoia and madness, manipulation and resistance, and took off from the top of the mountain under everyone's gaze...

Bailuyuan, Jiangnan, fifty years of loneliness
Why does it feel like getting into bad luck with the Bagua Cult is faster🤗
"All words flow out from the bottom of the heart, and the literary heart of the ages will never be lost, and they are connected to form one of the most important contexts of Chinese novels."
Does reading make people knowledgeable or pedantic? Is it worth it for pedantic Confucian scholars like Tao Mingxin to spend their lives guarding their pride and dignity? Knowing that it is nonsense to seize other people's luck to change one's own destiny, it is just like how there is a unicorn in the world. However, once people reach a certain height, they will become more willing to believe that they have it.
A novel with a great sense of scene The content is really rich
It's beautiful, the author has rich imagination, one story is connected with another, and I feel a lot of emotions after reading it.
A bit interesting
The rhythm is a bit broken. Unfortunately, due to historical limitations, I ignored my inner cry for help because I was afraid of violating the rules. What's amazing is that a pedantic scholar can shout that Qilin must be real.
The opening chapter is stunning and the writing is mellow, but it is a bit long and I feel a little tired after reading it.
