About This Novel

"Three Treasures Eunuch's Western Chronicles" is also known as "Three Treasures' Eunuch's Western Chronicles" and "Three Treasures Eunuch's Western Chronicles", also known as "Three Treasures Eunuch's Western Chronicles". In the 26th year of Wanli of the Ming Dynasty (1598), the edition was engraved by Sanshan Taoist in the year of Wuxu, with 20 volumes and 100 chapters, and was titled by Er Nanli. The author describes the historical facts of Zheng He's seven missions to the "West" during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty as a mythical novel, hoping to inspire the emperors and ministers of the Ming Dynasty to bravely fight against Japanese pirates and restore national prestige. This book describes the eunuch Zheng He who signed a seal during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty and recruited troops for the Western Expedition. Wang Jinghong was his deputy and conquered 39 countries. It is a historical fact that Zheng He was sent to the "Western Sea" (referring to the sea area between present-day Kalimantan and Africa) seven times and visited more than 31 countries. However, "The Popular Romance of the Western Sea" is not a historical novel. This book mainly talks about conquering demons. According to the order, Ernanli was Luo Maodeng, whose courtesy name was Chengzhi. He was a native of Shaanxi during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. He wrote the legendary "Xiangshan Ji" and annotated various legends.
