It seems that no one is at fault, but it makes people feel heartbroken. Deep love should be spoken lightly, and deep pain should be written lightly!
The first time I read this story was in the second half of my senior year in high school. Everyone has different feelings after reading it, but I was really deeply distressed. Although Shen Shen was willful and vain when she was young, when she didn't know how to deal with feelings, her favorite was still Gu Nuoze. Later, in order for Gu Nuoze to stay away from her motherland and her only relative, she went to the United States with her love for Gu Nuoze and her guilt for Qian Qian. When she knew that her time was short, she endured the heartache and left Gu Nuoze with heartache. She also loved her sister, so she hoped that the two people she loved could be together! But when she died alone on the mountain, it still made people feel heartbroken. If Qian Qian had just started to bravely use her own identity to love Tang Hongming, maybe it would have been a different ending. She deeply paid a huge price for her mistakes in her youth, not only with her life, but also with her lover. The emotions of her youth are always precious, not only because of their simplicity, but also because they cannot be repeated or redeemed. They were supposed to be two happy people, but they couldn't withstand the changing hands of fate. The ending of the story is ambiguous. Shen Shen can never come back. Maybe Gu Nuoze will always miss her in his heart. Qian Qian fell in love with Gu Nuoze, but Gu Nuoze was afraid that he fell in love with Qian Qian because of Shen Qian. But if Gu Nuoze just changed his mind and fell in love with Qian Qian, it would not be fair to Shen Shen.
I read it when I was in high school. There were physical books back then, but I can't find them now.
