This book uses trees as a metaphor to introduce a family destiny of a small character in modern times. From the crown to the trunk to the roots, the story follows from grandchildren to fathers to grandparents. Three generations, three histories. The young grandchildren show how modern people live, which is casual and natural, while still protecting traditional emotions, such as filial piety and love. The narration of the father's generation runs parallel to the narration of the grandfather's generation, focusing on the life of the grandfather who was once a beggar and the grandmother who was once a lady - this incredible couple, and cleverly integrates them with the times, the fate of the family, etc...
