About This Novel
This book is a work of realism. The author describes the struggles and struggles of migrant workers in the city in a delicate way, telling the youth story of a generation of Shenzhen people, which contains the warmth of family, love and friendship, as well as the growth of young people who are constantly struggling in the development and changes of the times. There are both the impact of the influx of large numbers of migrant workers on the city, the initial resistance of local people, and the slow process of integration between the two. The growth environment and growth experience of the hero and heroine are traced through flashbacks. The second half of the book focuses on the heroine's unfortunate marriage and discusses bad habits such as domestic violence and son preference. From this, one can feel the heroine's gradual awakening of female consciousness.
