"Possessed" is the masterpiece of the Austrian writer Hermann Bloch, who was nominated for the Nobel Prize for Literature and is known as one of the "four greatest novelists in Central Europe". The story takes place ten years after the First World War. It tells the story of a tramp who comes to a small mountain village and pollutes the entire village with his deadly and harmful thoughts, causing all the villagers to fall into a state of obsession, which then triggers a series of evil events... "Possession" provides a profound and sharp analysis of the blind obedience of the masses and reflects on the cultural shortcomings of Europe. It is considered one of the most classic works about the rise of the Nazis, comparable to Thomas Mann's "The Magic Mountain". So far it has been translated into English, French, Japanese, Hungarian, Czech and Polish and other languages. This is the first time it has been translated into Chinese.
