About This Novel
I always wanted to die, but unexpectedly I have survived until today. On top of the complete denial and destruction of the self, the poignant and beautiful flower of material sorrow blooms. Known as the "measles book" - just like every child will have measles, every Japanese will inevitably read "Heart" once in his life, Natsume Soseki's masterpiece. Natsume Soseki died of illness three years after the book was completed. This is a very dark novel, written in 1914, and it is still readable 100 years later. It is a heart-wrenching novel that is a must-read in Japan. Just like a child who gets measles once in a while, this book is known as the "measles book". It is a masterpiece that brings Japanese aesthetics into full play. Xu Jianxiong, a senior translator, advocates using "quality inspection" to pursue accurate and beautiful translations.

It's a pity that I didn't write about 'my' father's condition at the end, so I ended with my husband's story.
There is no one!
It's like eating a mint in May, so refreshing. My husband and K have very similar life experiences. They have built a sincere friendship and are really happy. It's a pity that the development of psychological medicine at that time was not satisfactory, otherwise K should be able to live a happier life. Finally, the gentleman proposed to leave the best art to future generations before he died. This shows the spirit of Japanese art But I still hope that sir will be stronger Suicide is not a shortcut to overcoming pain and suffering.
Maybe it's because the times are different and I can't understand the inner thoughts and extreme behaviors of the characters in the book. How selfish the author left rashly when his father was about to die. How ridiculous that the husband abandoned his wife and committed suicide!
This book is for young people who want to see their own hearts clearly. It is also full of Soseki's thought of "removing selfishness from heaven". "Then removes selfishness" means to rely on external forces to get rid of "selfish desires" and get rid of the control of fate. In the book, K and his husband both used their own efforts to overcome their "selfish desires", but both ended in failure. The husband narrated his life to "me" in the form of a suicide note, which allowed "me" to usher in "rebirth" and revealed the true meaning of life of eliminating selfish desires and getting rid of the control of fate. "Sir's spirit" is the reflection of "Heaven".
