About This Novel
The novel takes Hou Yi's life as a clue and the struggle between the two camps of the sun and moon gods as the background. It tells the story of Hou Yi changing from a mortal to a hunting god, then being demoted from a god to a mortal, and finally ending his life at the hands of his apprentices. In his life, he had the feat of strangling monsters for the world, the feat of shooting the golden crow with an arrow, the love with his wife Chang'e from ignorance and indifference to heart-to-heart connection, the bravery of climbing Kunlun to ask the Queen Mother of the West for the elixir, and the sadness of being betrayed by his apprentice. In the end, Chang'e was trapped in the Moon Palace, and after Hou Yi died, she became the god Zongbu who drove all ghosts. Although they both existed as gods, there was no longer any connection between them.
