About This Novel

What is the Piece of Eden that can change the course of human history? Why were the Crusades on the verge of failure? How did Richard the Lionheart escape the assassination of the Master Assassin? What kind of attack did the Mongol Empire suffer from the Assassin organization? In the era when the Crusades and the Mongol Empire swept across the Eurasian continent, follow the footsteps of Altaïr, the great master of the Assassin organization, and witness the true side of history with Richard the Lionheart and other famous figures in history. The second volume of the Chinese version of the designated and authorized official novel of the adventure game "Assassin's Creed" is a must-have for millions of players and history lovers! Marco Polo's father, Niccolò Polo, finally revealed the secret he had kept for his whole life - the past of Altaïr, the life story of one of the Brotherhood's most legendary assassins. Altaïr took on an extremely difficult task that not only required him to travel to every corner of the Holy Land, but also allowed him to understand the true meaning of Assassin's Creed. To regain his kingdom, Altaïr must defeat nine Templars, including their leader Robert de Sable. Here we will visit Altaïr's legendary life for the first time: a journey that could change the course of history; a back-and-forth battle between Assassins and Templars; a shocking and tragic family life; and a ruthless betrayal from an old acquaintance.

[Legendary] 4 points for storytelling, 3 points for readability, 1 point for conception, and 2 points for long story: shocking plot experience. No shortcomings. 8+2=Total score 10. No one can deny the special status of this work in the Assassin's Creed series, but anyone who has not seen Oliver's "Assassin's Creed: Secret Crusade" should not call themselves a true fan of the Assassin series. Although the anti-human design and the embarrassment of no subtitles in the first-generation game are enough to deter 90% of players, players can still get a glimpse of the life experience of the Second Master (nickname) from this classic novel - from being a proud to being a master assassin who ignores discipline, being demoted to the lowest-level apprentice assassin, and then returning to become the leader of the assassins. The assassin gradually changed from arrogant and impulsive to humble and calm; from being proud of his ability to create death to understanding the meaning of life; from being obedient to authority and restless heart to respecting everyone's beliefs and thoughts. When Altaïr was about to complete his mentor's mission and regain his former honor, he gradually discovered that everything he once believed in was no longer what it was before. In terms of story and readability, this work has almost no flaws. If we ask literary works to have the readability and sense of substitution of online texts, many classics will be eclipsed, but "Assassin's Creed: Secret Jihad" completely achieves it. No one should not praise its powerful psychological journey, presence, pictures and dynamic sense, especially the wonderful depiction of sword fights and assassination scenes. I think no one can surpass it. Reading this book is as intoxicating as watching a real movie. After reading it, it feels like you have experienced another life, with feelings and shock lingering in your heart. (The premise is to jump directly to the chapter "Chapter 6" where Altaïr appears. The introductory chapter on Ezio's ship at the beginning is too boring, which is why this book is only "Legendary") For readers, this book is full of wisdom, reasonable worldview logic and excellent portrayal of two universal concepts (Assassins and Templars) that check and balance each other. For the author, this book is an extremely qualified model in terms of writing style, ideological conception, characterization, and story structure. Finally, I am very honored to have read "Assassin's Creed: Secret Crusade", and I am very honored that this book will be the first to be released in this list.
