This book is the third in the astronaut science fiction series that started with "Transcendental" and is written by James Gunn, the science fiction hall of fame author! "Transformation" continues the space travel in "Transcendental" by science fiction master James Gunn. Riley and Asha traveled throughout the galaxy, found the Transcendental Machine, and chose to transform, breaking through the limitations of human beings. The two returned to Earth and defeated the artificial intelligence that had tried to destroy the Transcendental Machine. Now, they must save the rest of the alliance. The planets on the edge of the Alliance fell silent. The arrogant Alliance bureaucracy reluctantly sends Riley and Asha for investigation. They work with the paranoid Alliance overseer, the planetary A. I., And members of a small faction sworn to destroy the A. I. They distrust each other and each other's motives. Stronger enemies, they need to find common ground and answers to their questions.
