Forgotten Planet
About This Novel
"The Forgotten Planet" is a masterpiece by the famous American science fiction novelist Murray Leinster. The first edition was released in 1954 and is composed of three short stories. This "forgotten" planet had been seeded with life earlier, the first time with microorganisms, the second time with plants and insects, but the dramatic moment came when the third time it was about to be seeded with humans. Because after a thousand years, plants and insects have evolved to huge sizes. When the spacecraft crashed on the planet, the descendants of the astronauts began a difficult struggle for survival. They have to fight ants as big as wolves, flies as big as chickens, and giant wasps... The famous American science fiction publisher Grover Cocklin praised this book as Leinster's "most exciting and skillful" work. "Almost all aspects of this novel have reached the top level."
