About This Novel
"Isolation Zone" is a collection of Tang Ying's short stories and one of Tang Ying's urban women's novel series. "The Quarantine Zone" includes eight novels including "Beauty", "Corruption", "Christmas in August" and "The Quarantine Zone". Among them, "Beautiful Beauty" was adapted into the movie "The Head". After "Corruption" was published, it was selected into more than ten anthologies. "Christmas in August" won the "Golden Short Story" award from "Writer" magazine. Among them, "Isolation Zone" tells the story of "I" visiting her boyfriend in the hepatitis isolation area of the hospital during the hepatitis A epidemic in Shanghai in 1998. The isolation zone of about three meters made "I" have the impulse to enter marriage. But seven years later, our family life continues to be shrouded in shadow. The husband is determined not to have children, often secretly goes to the hospital for liver function tests, and leads a regular life like an elderly person. When "I" bought a house that was shrouded in airplane noise all day long with the help of my best friend Li Ping, the alienation between husband and wife was like walking on ice, with layers breaking apart and no longer able to be concealed.
