About This Novel
This "Novel Class" systematically collects Bi Feiyu's lecture notes on novels taught at Nanjing University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University and other universities. From the perspective of an "insider" as a novel creator, the author goes deep into the works of "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio", "A Dream of Red Mansions", "Water Margin", and other classic writers such as Hardy, Hemingway, Naipaul, Wang Zengqi, and Lu Xun. Bi Feiyu has rich writing experience and good theoretical literacy. However, he took a different approach. He did not start from the theoretical system and historical ethics, but started from his personal aesthetic experience. He completed the exquisite interpretation of his personality and individual abilities with humor and insight. This version adds two articles, one is "Li Shangyin's Sun, Li Shangyin's Rain", which talks about poetry; the other is "Along the Inside of the Circle, From Victory to Victory", which is a lecture about "The True Story of Ah Q". Of course, this version of "Novel Lesson" not only has additions but also deletions. The deleted article is "Feedback - The Reverse Shaping of Fictional Characters on Novel Authors".

In order to increase the difficulty of reading, authors need to dig holes, talk about dark topics, and use black technology. This is a kind of trust that the author has in the readers to read patiently. And when the reader loses his patience, it also means the loss of mutual trust between the reader and the author.
Bi Feiyu gave a standard for reading novels, using imitation, rewriting, and changing context to discover the illogical places in the novel, and then dig out the hidden information. Read one book as if it were two books.
Bi Feiyu laments patience many times in the book. In today's information society, everything is developing rapidly, but people's patience is constantly losing. In the past, we could only read a limited number of books, and read them slowly until we thoroughly read them.
After reading fifty pages, I couldn't help but come here to comment. It's so well written that I can see details that I can't see when I'm reading through a teacher's perspective, and cultivate my reading and writing habits.
