Yin Daning was born in Yesan, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea in 1962. Graduated from the French Department of Dankook University in South Korea in 1988. In 1990, he won the "Literary Thought" Newcomer Award for his novel "Mother's Forest". He has won the "Modern Young Artist Award", "Lixiang Literature Award" and "Modern Literature Award". His major works include "Hearing Horse Hoofbeats", "Watching an Old Movie", "Remembering a Place Far Far Away", "Silver Fishing Correspondence", "Look at the Stairs to the South", "Cows Occasionally Enter the Hotel", "Beside the Chrysanthemums", etc. Yin Daning is the most powerful writer among writers of his generation. In other words, his aesthetic sensibility, style, novel modeling ability, and ability to capture the emotions of the times are very outstanding. He seems not to pay much attention to postmodernism, but postmodernism naturally appears in his novels.
