This book is a historical novel with the new emperor Wang Mang as the protagonist. It has about 1.2 Million words and is divided into three volumes: the first, middle and second volumes. Based on "The True Story of Wang Mang" (Part 1 and 2), a biography published in 2002 that is faithful to historical documents, the author rediscovers history. From a new perspective and using a literary style, he describes the era of darkness and hope, conservativeness and reform in the late Western Han Dynasty.
