About This Novel

I live in a small town in the northwest, a small and ethnic area, but in the face of uniform urbanization, this small town is not immune. In late December, the streets were filled with the smell of Christmas. It was overwhelming and seemed to be pushing a deformed and inflated carnival to the extreme. Even my daughter, who is in elementary school, pestered me for money to buy apples for her teachers and good friends. I began to think about the apple that suddenly doubled in value and the deeper things hidden behind it. I also liked to stand outside the store and look at the fresh decorations in the window, while chewing and savoring this strange and weird feeling for a long time. I once saw a report in a newspaper. Two young people who went to work in the city were standing in a workshop that produced Christmas gifts. They were tightly wrapped and enclosed. Amidst the foam flying in the sky and the dirty workshop environment, they faced boring fake apples and colorful ornaments. One of the girls wore a red Santa Claus hat and stood helplessly facing the camera.
