This book contains seven essays by Mr. Yang Jiang: "Fielding's Theory of Novel", "On Thackeray's Vanity Fair", "Art and Overcoming Difficulties", "Li Yu on Dramatic Structure", "Facts-Stories-Truth", "New Interpretations of Old Books", "What's Good", and two other translator's forewords "Gil Blass" Translator's Foreword or Preface "" "Little Leper" Preface to the Translation, and another article "Don Quixote and "Don Quixote"" relatively comprehensively presented Mr. Yang Jiang's understanding of the famous work she translated. Later, after adding a brief introduction to the author Cervantes and the translated version one by one, the article was published as the "Translator's Preface" to the Chinese version of "Don Quixote".

Why do I feel that I can't understand it? I have never read Fielding's works and I don't know much about him. Is this book so incomprehensible that I feel like a layman?
