About This Novel
"Taking a Bath" is a novel written by Yang Jiang. The novel is based on the first ideological reform movement of intellectuals after liberation, and tells the exploration and changes in the spiritual world of intellectuals in the early days of liberation in Peking. This group of intellectuals includes those who stayed in the country after liberation, some who returned from Britain, the United States, France and Russia to join the bright future, some are writers, some are literary and art cadres from the liberated areas, and some have just graduated from university, etc. They all have different purposes and their own concerns.
