About This Novel
The story described in the novel takes place in a place called "Maoergou" deep in the Daba Mountain in northeastern Sichuan Province, my country. The protagonist, Blue Leopard, a girl from Bashan, lost her mother at birth. Her father, Lan Shaohe, was an ignorant and superstitious mountain man. He did not dare to remarry his wife because he listened to the fortune teller, but he wanted to maintain the face of the old custom of "carrying on the family line" and not cut off the family's incest, so he trained Blue Leopard as a boy. Blue Leopard disguised herself as a man for twenty-four years from the time she left the club until she graduated from junior high school and became the deputy company commander of the reservoir migrant workers company, and absurdly became a "couple" with another kind-hearted woman, Zhenmei. In the end, Blue Leopard fell in love with his classmate Ding Weidong when he met him at the reservoir construction site.
