About This Novel
This book is a novel written by Professor Wang Zhiliang. It tells the story of the joys and sorrows of several Chinese immigrants who came to Melbourne, Australia from western China. The main characters, middle-aged woman He Jie, her daughter He Xiaoqing, and her son-in-law Yu Qiang, formed and sprouted their lives and emotions in the special environment of a foreign country. Entanglements reflect all aspects of human nature. The author's preface epigraph says: "In fictional stories, don't bother to speculate and suspect; in real life, just look at the joys and sorrows of separation and reunion." The novel is titled "Mirage", which actually aims to find the truth, goodness, and beauty of human nature in the unpredictable life, and to lash out those ugly things.
