Oh, where are your two little paws and your two sisters? Why do we need to do black people's work? You have to thank God for not burning down the house. You can grow cotton but not the house. I can pick cotton and hoe the ground now. What a wise and brave old man.
Melanie is a woman who is soft on the outside but strong on the inside. She has an iron will that can only be revealed at critical moments.
I like this book very much. When I feel depressed or encounter difficulties, I will read it to absorb infinite spiritual wealth and move forward courageously.
