About This Novel
My failure to get into college was all caused by my father, because he stabbed someone with a knife. That day, I was in the classroom and saw a motorcycle driving through the school gate with two policemen sitting on it. They paused at the gate, and the policeman sitting in the back leaned toward the guardroom window and nodded. Why did the two policemen come to school? My eyes returned to the blackboard. Teacher Wang's back was turned to us, and the chalk in his hand creaked on the blackboard. He pointed at the top of the blackboard, turned his head, opened and closed his mouth, then turned back and used the blackboard eraser to erase the tadpole-like words. The chalk in his hand is white, and the words written on the blackboard are a bit dazzling. The class has been going on for more than 20 minutes, but I was in a daze and didn't write anything down. The classroom is a tile-roofed house, and the poplar tree in front of the house is higher than the roof and reaches into the sky.
