About This Novel

A dark horse novel at the Frankfurt Book Fair, it has been licensed to more than 33 countries in a frenzy, and many media boldly predicted that it would be a "must-read book in 2017"! Mirror version of "Memory", in front of the mirror of memory, we explore the truth and besiege the truth. In the early morning of December 23, 1987, Wade, a star psychology professor, was brutally murdered at his home. Three people close to him were investigated one by one - his protégé Laura, library organizer Flynn, and repairman Derek who had been in contact all year round to repay a favor. The suspicion was quickly cleared, and all three people had alibi that night. But the strange thing is that shortly thereafter, Laura changed her name and Flynn moved away; Drake, on the other hand, remained the same, surviving the day and receiving relief. Wade's case gradually became unsolved, and the police reluctantly suspended the investigation. Thirty years later, literary editor Peter Katz received a manuscript titled "The Book of Der Spiegel" signed by Flynn. The manuscript refers directly to the murder case that shocked the whole city 30 years ago, and records in detail the triangular relationship between himself, the deceased and Laura!
