About This Novel
"Cow" was first published by Suye Publishing House in 1980, and included 9 short stories; it was republished by Oxford University Press in 2016, adding "The Letter" and "An Indian Fainted Beside the Pool"; this book is the 40th anniversary edition of the first edition, and has been revised by the author, adding "Bat" and the author's postscript. The book contains a total of 11 novels, with a preface by Liu Yichang and a postscript by Liang Bingjun. The novels mostly take the relationship between nature and humans as their theme, and are full of spirituality and beautiful writing.
