About This Novel
If you are working, remember that because you have a double chin, don't lower your head when encountering any difficulties. A girl, with a small electric cooker, went abroad for the first time, to Europe for the first time, 150 days, 27 cities, 2 countries, China, with 500 postcards of her photography, slept on 28 "sofas" in Italy, and took 57 trains. This is really not my "gap year" trip, this is just a fantasy life back in my "hometown" in Italy. I set up a stall in front of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore to sell postcards. I watched a band performance by a singer whom I met on a ride in a small bar in Empoli. I watched the foam-like sea at the seaside in Livorno. I chatted about freedom with a German captain with four girlfriends at the port of Sardinia. I followed a little black cat in the Colosseum in Rome for an hour and a half. I looked at the snow-capped mountains at the active volcano in Catania. I almost lost the wind and was blown into the sea on the Turkish Steps in Agrigento... I have always felt that life requires poetry and distance. Good travel is actually a slow, down-to-earth life elsewhere. I always believe that there are more interesting possibilities for myself and the world. Jing Xiaoyu, speaks English as good as a tripod cat + speaks Italian that is more tripod-like than a tripod cat + a person with difficulty getting out of bed who can go out before dawn in order to take pictures + a road blind person who can get lost even with a GOOGLE map + a first-year kitchen student who only knows how to cook dishes - but this does not stop him from wandering in distant places.
