About This Novel
The world recognizes Jiaozi as the originator of paper money, which is a great revolution in world currency. When mentioning Jiaozi, Chengdu has to be mentioned. Chengdu is a famous historical and cultural city. Its development was particularly prosperous during the Tang and Song Dynasties, and it is known as "promoting one and benefiting two". Looking back at the examples of merchants in Shu in the Northern Song Dynasty, we have to mention that in the early Northern Song Dynasty, one of the sixteen Jiaozi shop owners was Wang Changyi, a wealthy businessman in Chengdu, Sichuan. "The Shu Shang of the Great Song Dynasty" is a chapter-length novel with a total of more than 380,000 words. The author adopts the style of "Pinghua" in the Song Dynasty, and takes Wang Changyi, the inventor of Jiaozi and a Confucian businessman in Chengdu, as the important protagonist. It vividly enters the reader's field of vision and tells the wonderful story of the Song Dynasty Shu merchants led by the Confucian scholar Wang Changyi during the Northern Song Dynasty, their trade management, clever use of opportunities, good planning and trade-offs, benevolence in helping the poor, adding glory to the country, and classic love stories. The language style of the novel is consistent with the background of the times. It fills the gaps in the Shu merchant culture such as Jiaozi and Shu merchants and the literary creation of major national themes. It has certain literary value and positive practical significance.
