Santiago is an old man who makes a living by fishing. He finally caught a huge marlin after 84 days at sea. The big fish dragged the boat and drifted on the vast sea for two days and two nights. But when he set out to return, he encountered a group of ferocious sharks. The old man fought with the sharks to the death. In the end, the old man only dragged back the empty skeleton of the marlin, but the fighting spirit shown by the old man was awe-inspiring.
