About This Novel

This exquisite work has the temperament of "The Old Man and the Sea" and "Dunkirk", presenting the scenes of real maritime war. The story takes place in 1942 after the United States declared its entry into World War II. It tells the story of U. S. Navy Commander Claus, who was entrusted by the Allied government to lead four ships to escort a transport fleet across the Atlantic. He battled wits and courage with a group of U-boats sent by the German Nazi government, and fought bloody battles for three days and three nights. Although Klaus is a senior naval officer who has served for many years, this is his first time participating in actual combat, and his experience is not as much as that of younger officers on other ships. Faced with the encirclement and suppression of German submarines, how will he respond and lead the fleet to break out of the encirclement?
