The book "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" contains eleven of Hemingway's short stories. The leopard on the snowy mountain, the fisherman by the river, the old man in the cafe... Eleven seemingly indifferent stories contain untold vicissitudes of life. Hemingway's unique "iceberg" writing style is best presented in his short stories. There are people who inspire me to take life seriously. But if I did that, I might cause a lot of people to strangle themselves.

I saw the movie "My Beautiful Boss" and this book was mentioned in it, so I searched for it and it turned out to be very good.
Why didn't I see the leopard on the snowy mountain?
Did you read the wrong book? There is no logical connection between each chapter.
Indeed, this way of writing an iceberg seems really confusing.

Personally, I think the short stories collected here are far superior to the most famous novella, The Old Man and the Sea. This is the highest level of the lost generation.
It has been a long time since I finished reading the work, but my heart has not regained complete peace. What kind of story does this work tell? I seem to have finished reading it, but I didn't fully understand it. So I looked for some pictures, especially the cover. Among all the covers, this version of the cover is quite special and unique, and I like it a bit.
When it comes to life, death, and war, the concepts of Chinese and Western cultures are quite different. Mount Kilimanjaro probably became popular all over the world because of this work, and what kind of philosophy of life does the work explain? Does war destroy human nature? !
Because day after day, those comfortable, do-nothing lives, those lifestyles we once hated, dull us, and our desire to work wanes, so that eventually we don't work at all. When we're not working, those who know us feel more comfortable - the world really is weird, or bad. Although it is not difficult, it is not grand at all. We think we can recover through this special training method and get rid of the fat accumulated in the soul, just like a boxer who goes to the mountains to train to get rid of body fat. But in the end, we just went on doing nothing.
