My First Days
by Yang Ziying
About This Novel
"My First Days" is a collection of poems by young poet Yang Ziying. It contains more than 90 Chinese poems and 4 English poems. Some of these poems have been published in "Star Poetry" and some in American literary publications. This collection of poems brings a lot of surprises. The author's language is clean and clear. It not only expresses the feelings of girls, but also has conscious training and experimentation in poetry and language skills. The author's advantages are very obvious. His language is as relaxed as a deer, and his choice of imagery has the lightness of a girl. For example, the poem "White Crane Quotations" published in the "Star" Poetry Magazine, "Apricot blossoms in shacks have shallow waves in the soil after the rain" and "Broad beans are picked only when they are seventy full.\U002F Cucumbers and pumpkins are fresh when they are just picked." The words and language are fresh and seem to have a fragrance. Several poems in the Notes series are scattered in the collection and echo back and forth to form a complete story, which also reflects the author's intention and ingenuity. "A Few Days on the Island" is full of fairy tale color and quite imaginative.
