About This Novel

This book collects 32 essays and poems written by the author in recent years, divided into two parts: This Shore and The Other Shore. The author uses a unique "engineering documentary" technique to eulogize the wonderful life of living in China and the United States in the past 30 years of reform and opening up. He naturally and smoothly shows the prosperity of China, the style of friends, our lives, the growth of children and grandchildren, what he has experienced in the United States, and memories of past events, etc. This book was written by the author when he was 71 years old to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the death of his wife.
