There are two local reading materials in Yangzhou during the Republic of China. Many people know their names, but few have seen them. The first is "Yangzhou Continuing Dream", which is a column created by Hong Weifa in the "Spring and Autumn" supplement of "Shen Shen". It was serialized from 1946 to 1948 and has not yet been published. The second is "Gossip about Yangzhou", which was published by Shanghai Zhonghua Book Company in 1934. It caused some controversy, but its talk about the life and scenery of Yangzhou is also worthwhile. This book compiles both into one volume for the benefit of readers.
