About This Novel

On the one hand, scholars have different opinions on how to evaluate the status and role of foreign trade structure in economic growth, and some conclusions are even contradictory. Regarding the driving effect of foreign trade structure on the economy, Feng Lei (2003) believed that the focus of research on foreign trade structure should focus on the changes in foreign trade entities, the optimization of the import and export commodity structure, the adjustment of foreign trade methods, and the expansion of import and export markets and sources of goods; Wang Yongqi (2004) started from the static trade structure classification perspective of capital goods exports and consumer goods exports, constructed a trade structure measurement index, and tested the relationship between China's trade structure and economic growth through the Granger causality method. Relationship, the results show that China's trade structure does not significantly affect economic growth; Yi Li et al. (2006) Also divided export trade goods into two categories: primary products and industrial manufactured goods. Using China's export and GDP time series data from 1980 to 2004, they conducted a cointegration analysis on the interaction between the optimization of the export commodity structure and economic growth. The results showed that the optimization of the export commodity structure has a long-term stable promotion effect on economic growth, but the short-term performance is not obvious, and there is no bidirectional causality between the two. In addition, the foreign trade structure of a country or a region can be divided into commodity structure, mode structure, mode structure and regional structure. In other words, to analyze the relationship between changes in foreign trade structure and economic growth, we can approach it from many different perspectives, such as imported and exported commodities, primary products and industrial manufactured products. Su Zhendong (2009) believes that changes in the export trade structure have a significant impact on China's economic growth. Through research, it is found that different perspectives lead to completely different conclusions when studying the relationship between a country or a region's foreign trade structure and regional economic growth.
