Rose Manor
About This Novel
This is a creation that expresses a Chinese family epic, extending the writing style to a chant about the changing circumstances of a family. The main image characters in the poem are the grandfather and five women, that is, the five "grandmothers" in the first person of the poem, the five wives and concubines of the manor owner, and their descendants. The narrative of the entire poem revolves around this old-style manor and the lives and experiences of the characters set in the poem. The changes of the times, the overturn of society, and the ups and downs of fate are all clearly visible in the poem. There are also innovations in form, with eighty short poems, six stanzas and four lines, and twenty-four lines per line. The writing style is delicate and steady, demonstrating a higher artistic pursuit.
