In 1919, the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of the Upper School of Nanyang Public School was transferred to the Department of Liberal Arts of Shanghai St. John's University. In 1922, he served as the editorial director of the China Vocational Education Society founded by Huang Yanpei and others, and began to engage in education and editing work. In 1926, he took over as the editor-in-chief of Life Weekly. With his sharp pen, he advocated justice and public opinion and criticized the dark forces. Therefore, he was rated as one of the 100 heroic models who made outstanding contributions to the founding of New China. This book is one of the author's selected works.
