This book collects some of the letters Lenin wrote to his mother and sisters more than 20 years before the October Revolution, and roughly outlines Lenin's life, reading and thinking before and after his exile. Each volume is preceded by an introduction by the editor, which aims to give readers an understanding of the writing background of these letters. In addition, the preface of this book, which occupies a quarter of the book, attempts to comprehensively elaborate on Lenin's thoughts and practical activities from five aspects including Lenin's role as a professional revolutionary and politician.
