About This Novel
"San Shang Ji" is a collection of the author's academic papers from the past forty years, following the tradition of Yi studies of Shang Xiang, Shang Bian and Shang Ci. The first volume "Literary Theory" is a general elucidation of literary concepts and phenomena, and contains 13 important papers such as "Rebuilding the Discourse of Chinese Literary Criticism". The second volume of "Modern and Contemporary Literature" focuses on the history of Chinese literature, important writers, schools and styles since Liang Qichao, and includes 10 articles including "On the Ecological Narrative of New Chinese Literature". The third volume, "Foreign Literature," includes essays on the French essayist Rousseau, the American poet Pound, and the British poet Eliot. Most of these texts have been published in important Chinese and foreign newspapers and magazines.
