After Zeng Guofan's death, in the second year of Guangxu's reign (1876), Emperor Guangxu personally ordered that Zeng Guofan's disciple Li Hanzhang compile and Li Hongzhang edit the "Complete Works of Zeng Wenzhenggong" published by Chuanzhong Bookstore. It includes [one volume of "First Volume", thirty volumes of "Manuscripts", twenty-eight volumes of "Eighteen Schools of Poetry", twenty-six volumes of "Miscellaneous Notes of One Hundred Schools of Classics and History", two volumes of "Bibliography of One Hundred Schools of Classics and History", two volumes of "Mingyuantang Essays", four volumes of "Collected Poems", four volumes of "Collected Works", thirty-three volumes of "Books and Letters", six volumes of "Comments", and four volumes of "Miscellaneous Works" , "Qiuquezhai Study Record" in ten volumes, "Qiuquezhai Diary Notes" in two volumes, "Chronology" in twelve volumes] "Zeng Wenzhenggong Family Letters" ("Zeng Guofan Family Letters") in ten volumes plus "Zeng Wenzhenggong Family Instructions" ("Zeng Guofan Family Instructions") in two volumes, published in the fifth year of Guangxu (Ji Mao, 1879), three years later than "Zeng Wenzhenggong's Complete Works". Among all Zeng Guofan's works, he has the greatest influence and the most widespread dissemination. ["Zeng Guofan's Family Instructions" contains a total of 121 articles, one is "Four Daily Lessons", and the remaining 120 letters are one written in the sixth year of Xianfeng (1856), one in the ninth year of Tongzhi (1870), and the remaining 118 articles were all written between the eighth year of Xianfeng (1858) and the sixth year of Tongzhi (1867). "Family Instructions of Zeng Guofan" is basically a collection of letters written by a father in his fifties and sixties to a son aged between 20 and 30 years old and a son aged between 10 and 20 years old in ten years. (Zeng Guofan was born in the 16th year of Jiaqing (1811), Zeng Jize was born in the 19th year of Daoguang (1839), Zeng Jihong was born in the 28th year of Daoguang (1848); in the eighth year of Xianfeng (1858), Zeng Guofan was 48 years old, and Zeng Jize 20 years old, Zeng Jihong was 11 years old; in the sixth year of Tongzhi (1867), Zeng Guofan was 57 years old, Zeng Jize was 29 years old, and Zeng Jihong was 20 years old.)
