It is divided into four volumes: "Jin Yong's Jianghu Chronicles", "Jin Yong's Master's Examination", "Jin Yong's Twelve Hairpins" and "Jin Yong's Random Thoughts". Chronicles of Jin Yong's Jianghu is a collection of essays about Jin Yong's novels by Liu Bo, a writer on "Duku". The book is divided into three parts. The first part is "Martial Arts and Jin Yong", which includes "Martial Arts Review" articles such as "A Test of the Strength of the Five Sacred Sword Sects", "The Changes of Shaolin Bodhidharma Academy" and "Yang Guo's Level"; the second part is the author's analysis of more than twenty characters in Jin Yong's novels. In the third part, "New Storytelling", the author expresses his emotions through the first two novels, "Miao Renfeng" and "Feng Qingyang"; the latter one, "Wazi Shou", uses elements of traditional martial arts novels to write about some young people who are destined not to become big shots.
