The Trial (kafka Collection)
by Franz Kafka
About This Novel
Bank executive Joseph K had an enviable job and a promising future. However, on the morning of his thirtieth birthday, a group of men in black appeared in his house and announced that he had been arrested on unknown charges. Such an encounter is really inexplicable. In this way, K started a game with the court over his trial. However, his initial self-confidence was exhausted in the complicated legal procedures, and his efforts to resist were crushed by the slow-moving grand system. As an individual, K eventually reached a point of helplessness like fate. This is Kafka's second novel and a masterpiece with his distinctive style. In this novel, Kafka ruthlessly reveals the existential dilemma that individuals in modern society must face when interacting with the outside world.
