Lu Yiping, formerly known as Zhou Rui, was born in Nanjiang County, Sichuan in October 1972. Graduated from the Literature Department of the People's Liberation Army Art Institute and studied in the first postgraduate class for writers in Shanghai. Member of Chinese Writers Association. Began writing novels in 1992. His major works include the novel "The Kingdom of Passion", the documentary "Eight Thousand Hunan Women Go to the Tianshan Mountains", the collection of essays "The Book on the Roof of the World" and the travel notes "The Golden Heartland", "Yunnan Paradise", etc. Her works have won the Tianshan Literary Award, the People's Liberation Army Literary Award, the China Reportage Award, the National "Five Ones" Project Award and the Shanghai Literature Award.
