Bacon's Essays
About This Novel
After the publication of this collection of essays, Bacon received acclaim. Although Bacon himself did not have a high opinion of the collection of essays, he said that this collection of essays was just "accidental insights from my other learning processes." But critics didn't think so. They went further, arguing that Bacon pioneered a new form of writing called "prose." Of course, some people later discovered that Bacon's prose structure came more from the works of the great French essayist Montaigne (see other series of books in the "Most Classic English Library" of Liaoning People's Publishing House) and the works of Aristotle. They also discovered that Bacon actually drew nutrients from the works of more other great writers. Despite this, this "Collected Works of Bacon" has always enjoyed a high reputation. Some people have commented that "The Collected Works of Bacon" is more profound and unique than other people's prose works. It has become the most outstanding work in the English-speaking world.
