They were published from July 27, 1958 to November 29, 1959. In 1959 and 1960, they were published in two volumes by Chuo Koron Publishing House of Japan. These 69 articles describe, analyze, and comment on specific phenomena and issues from Japan's daily life, interpersonal interactions, social trends, and Japanese morality, emotions, and thinking inertia.
