About This Novel
"The Pain in the Strait" is the first full-length novel to directly address Taiwan's political situation. Du Ronglin, a Communist soldier who fought bravely in the War of Resistance Against Japan and the War of Liberation, and devoted himself to peace construction and reform and opening up. Luo Jin, a defeated soldier who fled Taiwan, became a mainland spy, and a crazy bandit, eventually became a Taiwanese businessman who actively invested and set up factories in the mainland. They once met on a narrow road and fought to the death with swords and guns. In the end, because of the common children, common blood, common culture, and common future, they shared the same blue sky over the strait, and shared the same blue sky over the strait. There were so many blood and tears, so much love, and so many thrilling stories! The author is pursuing: What kind of strait is the Taiwan Strait? Is it a natural geographical strait or a national soul strait? The author provides a conclusion: the Chinese people have the pain of cutting their wrists, but they will never suffer the pain of breaking their arms.
