About This Novel
When Qiu Yan stepped through the door, she tripped over the threshold. Only a century-old house from a wealthy family has such a high threshold. Qiu Yan has been in and out many times, but it still keeps stumbling. There were no lights in the hallway, so I had to walk in the dark. When I walked to my house, the light inside came out, and my eyes were a bit piercing, and my raised feet lost their size. Delin was lying on the bed watching TV, with bowls scattered around on the table. There were also a few fish bones, which Delin chewed into pieces and spat out in the bowl. Delin likes to eat fish, not all fish, only African crucian carp, while Qiu Yan has not touched any fish since she was a child, and the smell of fish makes her want to vomit. There was a pot, a bowl and two plates. It was not difficult at all to put down the chopsticks and wash them off. But Delin didn't wash them, leaving it to Qiu Yan.
