I'm Fifteen and I Still Don't Want to Die
About This Novel
"I'm Fifteen and Still Don't Want to Die" is an excellent work with anti-fascist themes. The stingy janitor couple, the single mother with her baby, the medical student nicknamed "Mr. Doctor", the banker's widow who hung all her jewelry around her neck, the prosecutor couple who insisted on their "neutral nationality", the young couple who swore eternal love to each other in front of the priest, the soldiers who did not belong to any team, the Jewish gentleman who hid the yellow star... The war linked the fifteen-year-old "I" with the fate of all these people. Under the rain of bullets, when living has become a luxury, human nature's most sincere desire for peace and a better life is fully revealed. On the edge of life and death, "I" have seen all kinds of things in the world and tasted all the warmth and coldness of human relationships. There is only one truest voice left in my heart: "I don't want to die."
